13.01.2004, Hansapank, TLN

Hansapank NEWS RELEASE 01/13/2004

CHANGE IN THE BOARD OF LITHUANIAN HANSABANKAS

Member of the Board and chief accountant of the Group’s Lithuanian
subsidiary Hansabankas, Antanas Poska, has submitted his letter of
resignation. Mr Poska has worked for Hansabankas since 1998.

Chairman of the Board of Hansabank, Indrek Neivelt said that it was
natural that after the resignation of the chairman of the company
there might be some additional reshuffling. "This is part of normal
development of the company, which on the other hand creates new
possibilities for our talented young managers".

The new CEO and chief accountant of Hansabankas will be appointed
from within the company during January.
