COMMENT TO AN ARTICLE IN NEWSPAPER ÄRIPÄEV



In the article on Hansabank’s 2003 financial results published today

in the newspaper Äripäev, there is a statement that Hansabank’s Board

will make a proposal to pay 30% of the net profit as dividends.



Hansabank has not yet decided on the dividend proposal for the

financial year 2003 and will publish the relevant proposal after its

approval in the Board at the end of February. Hansabank’s dividend

policy is to pay up to 30% of the financial year’s net profit as

dividends.
