INTEREST PAYMENT ON FRN'S

On 27 April 2004 AS Sampo Pank will pay interest on the floating rate notes
(SPOBMIXE12) listed on the Tallinn Stock Exchange in the amount of EUR 7.52
(117.66 Estonian kroons) per note. Interest will be paid to the investors
who are the owners of the notes five banking days before the interest payment
date (i.e. on 20 April 2004) at 08.00 a.m. according to the data of the the
Estonian Central Securities Register.

Until 27 January 2007 the notes of AS Sampo Pank will bear an annual
interest rate of three months EURIBOR plus 0.90% per annum. The three-
months EURIBOR which is displayed on the appropriate Reuters screen at
11.00 a.m. Brussels time two banking days before the respective interest
payment date is taken into account in the calculation of the interest of
the respective interest payment period which starts on the respective
interest payment date. The three-months EURIBOR of the first interest
payment period was fixed on 23 January 2004.

Interest will be paid to the investors in euros. The investor has to
present the details of his/her EUR account to his/her payment agent
(the Estonian Central Securities Depository) and the issuer at least
five (5) banking days before the respective interest payment date.
In case the investor does not present his/her EUR account details
to the payment agent duly, the payment agent shall transfer the equivalent
payable amount in Estonian kroons (according to Eesti Pank’s exchange rate
valid on the interest payment date) to the investor’s current account which
is linked to his/her securities account with the Estonian Central Securities
Register.

AS Sampo Pank will not withhold any income tax on the interest
paid on the above notes.
