A  new  slag  recycling  facility  has  been  launched at JSC "Liepājas

metalurgs"  with  output capacity 35 tons of slag per hour.  Initially,

the  output  capacity  is  projected  to  be 10,000 tons per month, and

maximum  capacity  20,000 tons per month. Currently the new facility is

recycling  the  slag that has been accumulated in the course of several

years.  There  are  10  jobs  in  the facility. It is expected that the

recycled slag will be utilized in road building and in manufacturing of

building  materials.  The investment in the new facility amounts to LVL

500,000.
