JSC   "Latvijas  Balzams"  has  opened  its  representative  office  in

Lithuania, and is expanding the range of export products. The main task

of  the representative office is to consolidate the company position in

the  Lithuanian  alcoholic  beverages market. JSC "Latvijas Balzams" is

becoming   more   active   in   Lithuania  after  it  was  banned  from

privatisation  of  Lithuanian  alcoholic  beverages  producer Stumbras:

Lithuania  is a significant market for the company. The key task of the

representative  office  will be to co-ordinate and promote the sales of

"Latvijas  Balzams"  produce.  The  target  is to attain the same vodka

sales    volume    in    Lithuania   as   currently   is   in   Latvia.

Lithuanian-American  joint venture Bennet Distributors will continue to

be the official "Latvijas Balzams" importer to Lithuania.
