JSC  " Latvijas Gaze" has reached forecasted financial results for 2000

-  net  turnover  LVL  92  million  and  net  profit  LVL  5.6 million.

Nevertheless   exact   finan  results  will  be  announced  only  after

completing   of   audit   and  confirmation  of  financial  results  by

shareholders general meeting in June 2001.

Operational  results  for  the  year 2000 were confirmed by Supervisory

Board  meeting  on February 9, 2001. Supervisory Board meeting reviewed

and confirmed budget for 2001. More exact operational forecasts will be

given after confirmation by shareholders general meeting. Management of

JSC  "Latvijas  Gaze"  forecasts that: " Everything will be done during

2001  to  ensure  same  operational  results  as in year 2000, although

situation  in  Latvian  energy  market  remains complicated. Forecasted

amount of investments will depend on price of natural gas".
