JSC  "Latvijas  Gaze"  informs about drafting of agreement with Gazprom

regarding  natural gas supplies for Latvia. Final decision on agreement

will be made on Supervisory Board meeting at the beginning of November.

Present  draft foresees that contract will be concluded for 6 years (to

year 2005 including). Main advantage of long-term contract is guarantee

that  Latvian  consumers  will  be  able to receive continual supply of

natural  gas.  If contract will be signed JSC "Latvijas Gaze" will sign

long-term contracts with largest consumers in Latvia.

JSC "Latvijas Gaze" in year 2000.does not plan to increase tariffs
