JSC  "Latvijas Unibanka" will involve startegical investor and increase

the company capital of the bank in the nearest future.

The  increase  of the Unibanka company capital is a part of the project

to   attrac   strategical  investor,  accordingly  to  the  operational

strategy,  that  is,invariably increase the market part of the bank and

to  become  the  leading  bank  in  Latvia  as  well as in other Baltic

countries.  The  involvment  of strategical investments will be done by

issuing closed emission LVL

8.55  million new shares, as well as, by attaching subordinated capital

in  amount  of  LVL 10 million. Unibanka has submitted a request to the

Bank  of Latvia for allowing to increase the equity capital of the bank

by LVL 8.55 million or

30%  from  current  company  capital  (LVL  28.5  million) up to LVL 37

million.

Swedish  bank  Skandinaviska  Enskilda  Banken  (SEB) will purchase all

emission  of  shares and will become Unibanka strategical investor. SEB

will  purchase  the new emission of shares by Unibanka for the price of

LVL 1.33 per share.

The  permission to increase banks company capital was recieved from the

Board  o  Unibanka,  but  consent  for  this  investment also had to be

received from the Bank of Latvia.

Collaboration  with  SEB will create new chances to get involved in the

largest measure projects and to employ the experience and technology of

the  Swedish  side  as well as to improve efficiency and quality of the

services to the Latvian customers, therefore securing Unibankas leading

position in the banking field of the Latvia.
