Hansapank is negotiating a loan with international banks.

Hansapank is currently negotiating a DEM 150 million loan with
international banks. The structure of the loan is the following: DEM 50
million would be lent to Hansapank by EBRD and DEM 100 million would be
syndicated between foreign commercial banks. The loan from EBRD has a
5-year maturity and the syndicated loan a 3-year maturity. The total
cost of the loan for Hansapank will be determined during the
syndication process, but it is likely to exceed DEM
6-month LIBOR +2%. According to preliminary plans the loan is to be
received during November.
