SAF Tehnika Will Participate in one of the World’s Leading Telecommunications 

Exhibition - CeBIT Hannover 2005



Riga, 8 March – the leading Baltic telecommunications equipment developer and 

manufacturer a/s SAF Tehnika will, for the 5th time takes part in the major 

exhibition of the industry CeBIT Hannover 2005, due on 10-16 March in the German 

city Hanover.



The exhibition CeBIT Hannover, in which SAF Tehnika has participated already for 

several years, is one of the major global exhibitions of information technologies 

and telecommunications, attracting an enormous number of representatives from the 

business, academic and media communities who can study here the newest achievements

in technology at a single place. About 6000 companies from about 75 countries of 

the world take part in the exhibition each year, attracting more than half a 

million visitors. A positive trend, observed in the last years, has been that 

the number of those visitors to the exhibition has increased who take part in 

decision-making processes in their companies as senior managers, leading technical

specialists.



SAF Tehnika is a regular participant in the most significant exhibitions of the 

industry, as it regards them as a unique opportunity to facilitate recognizability

of the company in the world in the area where the Latvian producer is able to 

compete on equal footage with the products of the industry leaders Nokia, Siemens,

Ericsson, Alcatel, NEC, etc. Through this exhibition, SAF Tehnika plans to expand 

its international activities even more, covering new geographic regions. Certainly,

it is also an excellent opportunity to strengthen its relations with the already 

existing partners and clients, to present the new products and services of the 

company.



As the summary statistics of CeBIT Hannover 2004 show, last year it attracted a 

record-breaking number of participants and visitors, of whom more than 50% 

visited the exhibition with a concrete aim to conclude cooperation and 

distribution agreements. Thanks to the new contacts established last year at 

CeBIT Hannover 2004, SAF Tehnika succeeded in concluding 2 new distribution 

agreements, one of which was with the largest fixed-network operator of Columbia.
