The profit of Krājbanka in the first quarter - 625 thousand lats





      In the first three months of 2005, JSC "Latvijas  Krājbanka"  has  earned  

625 thousand lats, which significantly exceeds  the  indicator  in  the  

corresponding period of the last year. In the first quarter of this year, the Bank 

has  achieved an increase in issued loans, the amount of capitals and provisions, 

as well as  in other significant indicators of the Bank's operation.

      The total assets of Krājbanka, apart from assets under management,  amounted

to 202 million lats at 31 March 2005.

      The total  value  of  loans  issued  by  Krājbanka,  as  compared  with  the

corresponding indicator in the first quarter of the last year,  has  increased  by

23.6 percent, amounting to 124 million lats.

      The capital and provisions of the Bank at the end of March amounted to  13.6

million lats, while deposits attracted by  Krājbanka  reached  172  million  lats,

including term deposits of residents, which proportionally, as compared  with  the

combined indicator of the last year, have increased by about 12 percent.
