JSC “Liepajas metalurgs” results of economic activities for 3 months



Hereby, please, be informed that the results of economic activities for I 

quarter 2005 of JSC “Liepājas metalurgs” was decently. By the side of I 

quarter 2004 there are some point to take a note:

-	Net turnover is grown-up about 48,6%, but it is not indicative of 

relevant changes in production JSC “Liepājas metalurgs” at period of I 

quarter 2005;

-	Realization volume of production is grown-up about 10,8%, but the 

price of production – about 36%.

In the first six months 2004 the price for ferrous metal production increase 

very quickly and for ferrous metal industry it was very successful period. 

In I quarter 2005 the price of production decrease about 9% by the side of 

second six months 2004. At this moment the price of production decrease 

about 20% by the side of second six months 2004.

Since 1997 JSC “Liepājas metalurgs” works at full production machine blast, 

scale of production depends on assortment of orders, that is – it depends 

on labour productivity. Volume of realization depends on production volume 

and period of time in which customer wish to receive prepared goods or there 

is a possibility to charter a ship.

The profit of JSC “Liepājas metalurgs” for period of I quarter 2005 from 

all economic activities are LVL 763 378,-.
