Ventspils Nafta Termināls transhipped 0.8 Million Tonnes of Crude Oil, Petroleum 

Products in April



The daughter company of the joint stock company Ventspils Nafta – Ventspils Nafta 

Termināls transhipped 0.8 million tonnes of crude oil and petroleum products in 

April, 2005, continuing thus to tranship substantial volumes of both gas oil and 

motor gasoline. Considering some changes in the market situation in Russia, this 

April is the second month in a row that crude oil has been transhipped by Ventspils 

Nafta Termināls. All of cargoes mentioned above are delivered to the terminal by 

rail road.



The main part of the cargo volumes transhipped in April is made up of 0.4 million 

tonnes of gas oil; 0.3 million tonnes of motor gasoline of various grades as well as 

0.1 million tonnes of crude oil.



Totally over the four months of 2005 Ventspils Nafta Termināls transhipped 3.2 million 

tonnes of crude oil and petroleum products: 1.6million tonnes of motor gasoline, 

1.4 million tonnes of gas oil and 0.2 million tonnes of crude oil.



As it has been already announced, the daughter company of the joint stock company 

Ventspils Nafta – Ventspils Nafta Termināls, one of the biggest and most modern crude 

oil and petroleum products transhipment companies in the Baltic Sea region, operated 

in 2004 at a profit. Net turnover of Ventspils Nafta Termināls in 2004 reached 

16 million Lats, however after tax profit is 0.7 million Lats according to the 

audited but not yet approved Annual Report of Ventspils Nafta Termināls for 2004.
