NINE-MONTH RESULTS

In the third quarter of 2002, the company’s income constituted

LTL 109,704.2 thousand, which is by 59.5% more than during the

corresponding period last year. The income generated during nine

months of 2002 equalled LTL 257,707.2 thousand, which marks an

increase of 60.2% over ac compared to the corresponding period in 2001.

The profit of the third quarter increased to LTL 2,442.9 thousand,

from a loss of LTL 12,990 thousand incurred in the third quarter of 2001.

The loss for nine-month period of the current year decreased to

LTL 8,615.6 thousand from LTL 49,724.8 thousand in the same period of

the previous year. Since the beginning of the year, the EBDA ratio reached

LTL 14,181.6 thousand, and EBITDA was LTL 18,397.2 thousand. In the

third quarter of 2002, the company manufactured 212.1 tonnes of

DAP fertilisers, which is by 115.4% more than during the same period

last year. During nine months of 2002, Lifosa AB manufactured

449.6 thousand of DAP, or by 121.3% more than during the same

period last year.
