MATERIAL EVENT



DECLARED AS AN OPERATOR WITH SMP IN PUBLIC FIXED-LINE TELEPHONY SERVICES AND

NETWORK MARKET



By the order of Director of the Communications Regulatory Authority, from

1 January 2003 AB Lietuvos Telekomas together with its associates,

namely UAB Baltijos Informaciniu Duomenu Valdymo Centras, UAB Comliet,

UAB Lietuvos Telekomo Verslo Sprendimai, UAB Lintel, UAB Lintkom, UAB Voicecom,

VsI Lietuvos Telekomo Sporto Klubas, is declared as an operator with

significant market power in the public fixed-line telephony services and

network market, and is obliged to fulfil the requirements for legal entities

with a significant market power in the public fixed-line telephony services and

network market set by Articles 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 24 of the Law on

Telecommunications of the Republic of Lithuania.



Also, from 1 January 2003 Lietuvos Telekomas together with its associates is

designated as a local loop operator.
