SALES OF THE PRODUCTION OF VILNIAUS VINGIS AB IN IST QUARTER OF 2003

In March 2003 Vilniaus Vingis AB sold production for LTL 12.0 million, or 0.9

million (7.0 percent) less than in March 2002.

Though sales of guide systems (which account for 92 percent of the overall

production for sale) during the first quarter of this year amounted to 268

thousand units more than during the corresponding period last year, the current

year sales  (LTL 35.2 million) are by 1.6 percent lower than during January-

March last year..

  This year exports amounted to LTL 26.0 million, compared with the

corresponding period in 2002, sales abroad increased by LTL 1.5 million

(6.3 percent). Sales in England grew by LTL 0.2 million, in Hungary by LTL 5.2

million,  in Spain LTL  0.5 million.

 Consumers of the NIS bought production for LTL 1.2 million, or by LTL 0.8

million less than in January-March in 2002.

 During the same period last year sales in Germany amounted to LTL 3.1 million

more.

 The level of exported production this year stood at 73.8 percent.

(In January-March 2002 this index did not exceed 68.3  percent).
