ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE MATERIAL EVENT



On 15 January 2004, trading in ordinary registered shares of Alytaus Tekstile

AB (code 10090) will be suspended until the day of announcement of the material

event. Concerning a general shareholders’ meeting. Reduction of the authorized

capital (Decision of the Board of the NSEL of 16 December 2003).
