Apranga APB continues bringing around the world's most famous firms to
Lithuania
On February 12, Apranga APB, the leader of the Lithuanian retail trade market of
wearing apparel, is opening under a franchise contract with Giorgio Armani
S.P.A. an Emporio Armani store in one of the most beautiful and luxurious places
of Vilnius - the City Hall square.
It will be the 124th Emporio Armani store in the world opened by one of the most
famous fashion designer Giorgio Armani. Apranga is the only clothing company in
Eastern Europe to have opened Emporio Armani stores. Its first Emporio Armani
store in Eastern Europe was opened in Riga in August 2004.
Investments of Apranga APB in the establishment of, probably, the most
fashionable and luxurious store in Lithuania that occupies the area of 360
square meters amounted to LTL 1.6 m. The Apranga group is the most quickly
expanding and the largest retail seller of clothing in Lithuania, which is also
working in Latvia and Estonia. Presently the Apranga group owns 42 stores
including 32 in Lithuania, 9 in Latvia and 1 in Estonia.
In 2005 the Apranga group plans to increase the sales turnover by 46% and reach
the amount of LTL 200 m. Emporio Armani is the second store opened this year. In
10 days Apranga is going to open the 10th store in Riga, the capital of Latvia.
The shares of the public trading company Apranga are listed on the Vilnius Stock
Exchange. The Apranga APB is owned by the concern MG Baltic.
