The turnover in March and in the first quarter of 2005
The turnover in retail trade of the network of Apranga group in March 2005
reached LTL 13 435.9 thousand and exceeded by 57.9% the turnover in March 2004.
During the first quarter of 2005, the turnover in retail trade of the network of
Apranga group in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia totaled LTL 40 927.3 thousand and
exceeded by 54.4% the turnover of the corresponding period in 2004. The
network's retail turnover in Lithuania amounted to LTL 27 751.1 thousand
generating a 20.3% increase.
The turnover of the network of Apranga group in foreign markets (in Latvia and
Estonia) amounted to LTL 13 176.2 thousand and rose by a factor of 3.8. The
specific weight of foreign turnover accounted for 32.2% (in 2004, the retail
trade in foreign markets accounted for 25.5%).
In Q1 2005, the Apranga group opened 3 new stores, investing more than LTL 2.5 m
in them. Presently, the Apranga group is operating 43 stores, including 32 in
Lithuania, 10 in Latvia and 1 in Estonia.
In April, the company is going to reorganize one of its largest stores -
"Apranga" (located in Vilnius, J.Jasinskio 16), where almost 50% or 700 square
meters of the trading area will be devoted to a sell outlet trading in goods
for children, youth, ladies and men.
In 2004, the turnover in retail trade of the Apranga group totaled LTL 136.6 m
and grew by 44.2%. The leader of Lithuanian retail sellers of wearing apparel
plans a more rapid growth (by 46.4%) in 2005, seeking to exceed the LTL 200 m
retail trade turnover.
The shares of the public trading company Apranga are listed on the Vilnius Stock
Exchange. The Apranga APB is owned by the concern MG Baltic.
