Level of gasoline and gas oil transhipped by SIA Ventspils nafta termināls still high (corrected)



The daughter company of the joint stock company Ventspils nafta – SIA Ventspils 

nafta termināls continued handling in September 2005 significant volumes of gas 

oil having different sulpher content as well as various grades of motor gasoline. 

For September 2005 SIA Ventspils nafta termināls handled more than 0.6 million 

tonnes of petroleum products – this is as much as for the analogous period of 2004.



Starting from this September, gas oil made up more than 0.3 million tonnes of cargo 

volumes handled by SIA Ventspils nafta termināls totally, including 0.3 million 

tonnes of motor gasoline. The transhipment volumes of both products remain at their 

high level throughout the entire 2005 thanks to the profitability of services 

offered by SIA Ventspils nafta termināls to their customers as well as global market 

situation. In September the steady high volumes of petroleum products were positively 

influenced by CIS gasoline export showing increase, as well as favourable market 

environment. 



In total, 6.4 million tonnes of crude oil and petroleum products were handled by 

SIA Ventspils nafta termināls within the nine months of 2005, including 3 million 

tonnes of motor gasoline
