ANNOUNCEMENT

 

NEW CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT

 

On Friday, December 17, 1999, the largest film distributor in 

Estonia, MPDE, and Merko Ehitus signed a construction contract, 

according to which AS Merko Ehitus will build a multiplex cinema at 

Hobujaama street, Tallinn. It will be the first in the Baltics and 

one of the most modern multiplex cinemas in Northern Europe. 

The 11 cinema halls of different sizes will cover 13,197 square 

meters and seat 2000 people. The cost of the contract is around 120 

million EEK.

 

The construction works will start in the near future and the 

building will be completed no later than the first quarter of 2001.
