Estonian CSD begins accepting funded pension choise applications

On May 4, Estonian CSD (ECSD) will begin accepting funded pension choice applications.

Persons who wish to join the funded pension or the second pillar of the Estonian pension system may submit the choice applications through Internet homepage www.pensionikeskus.ee (section “My Account”), at account operators’ i.e. banks’ offices or via Internet banks.

ID card holders as well as clients of LHV, and Nordea Pank and Krediidipank Internet bank clients may submit the choice application through www.pensionikeskus.ee. Negotiations are currently underway with Sampo Pank, Eesti Ühispank and Hansapank to enable their Internet bank clients the possibility to join funded pension through www.pensionikeskus.ee.

The choice application form has to include the applicant’s personal and contact details and the name of pension fund where to commence making contributions. As of May 2, the Financial Supervisory Authority has registered 11 funded pension funds.

On Rahakompass Family Day in Kuressaare Kultuurikeskus on Saturday one may join funded pension and take a closer look at funded pension funds.

ECSD, part of HEX Tallinn, maintains Estonian central securities registry and pension registry.
