On December 10, 2001, Nordea Bank Finland Plc Estonian subsidiary started operating as an account operator of Estonian CSD (ECSD).
“Nordea’s acceptance as an active account operator should stimulate the Estonian securities market as well as increase competition in the market. Additionally, this should be a good precondition for building a bridge between Estonian and Finnish capital markets, with reference to forthcoming integration of the Tallinn Stock Exchange and HEX,” said Jaanus Erlemann, Supervisory Board chairman of ECSD.
ECSD has now eight active account operators (Hansapank, Eesti Ühispank, Eesti Krediidipank, LHV, Nordea Pank, Preatoni Pank, Sampo Pank and Tallinna Äripank).
