Up to 5,000 people visited Rahakompass fair held by the Tallinn Stock Exchange (TSE) and Estonian main business daily Äripäev on October 19 and 20.
“With regard to the forthcoming pension reform interest towards such events is likely to increase. Thus, TSE is planning to organize this type of events in the future as well,” said TSE Management Board chairman Gert Tiivas.
TSE in co-operation with a TV series “If I had a million kroons…” showed on Estonian National Television published Raha-aabits (Money ABC). The booklet will be distributed through direct mail by banks and broker firms. Characters of the TV series, specialists at banks and Villu Zirnask, author of Raha-aabits, give their perspective on consumption, housing loans, investing, and pension reform.
Additionally, TSE will continue with Rahakool (Money School), a short course on investing and financial world for beginners. Rahakool was launched as a pilot project at Rahakompass fair.
TSE is planning to expand investor education issues on its Internet homepage. In the near future homepages of Rahakompass and its sub-brands (Raha-aabits, Rahakool etc) will be launched.
Additional information about Rahakompass, including the materials of the seminars and lectures given at the fair, is available at www.rahakompass.com.
