Background information
Artea is the largest Lithuanian capital bank, a steadily and consistently growing financial partner, paying special attention to retail banking, saving and investing, business financing and consumer financing solutions. The Bank was established in 1992. Artea Bankas Group includes subsidiaries, which operate in the fields of asset management (Artea Asset Management), leasing (Artea lizingas), life insurance (Artea Life Insurance), and renovation (Artea Retrofit Fund 1 and Artea Retrofit Fund 2).
The largest shareholders of Artea banks as of 31 December 2025 are: Invalda INVL – 19.9%, Willgrow – 9.1%, EBRD – 7.4%, Tesonet Global – 7.3%, Algirdas Butkus and related parties – 5.5%, Gintaras Kateiva - 5.1%. The remaining shares have been acquired by institutional and retail investors.
Artea is active in the field of financing of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and is consistently increasing its market share in the financial sector. Artea also offers advanced everyday banking services to individuals and businesses, provides mortgage and consumer loans, investment and life insurance services, actively participates in multi-apartment buildings renovation projects, finances the implementation of energy saving programmes in the country, and is a leader in renovation financing in Lithuania. One of the strongest investment management teams in the Baltics manages Tier II and Tier III pension funds, as well as open-end and closed-end investment funds for retail investors. The Bank is one of largest bond distributors in Lithuania, based on the number of issuers.
Artea is also an active broker on the Nasdaq Baltic market, which is a member of all three stock exchanges – Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn – as well as a participant in the Central Depository Nasdaq CSD.
